THE JUDGING PROCESS & VISITS
For each individual category award, entrants must prepare a written submission (online or offline), describing why they are applying for the Award and provide details of the business, activities or initiatives relevant to the criteria headings, paying attention to the available marks for each theme.
All entries received for the awards, whether online, email or postal, will be reviewed by the panel of judges against the criteria for the category, and then a shortlist of entrants in each Region/Category will be selected for visiting.
The judges will primarily focus on the written information provided on the Entry Form. Supporting material will be considered in the judges’ deliberation, but will have no bearing on scores obtained in the first stage.
The panel of judges will conduct visits of up to 90 minutes to each of the shortlisted stores, meeting with the manager (or nominated representative), observing staff interaction with customers and viewing the physical aspects of both the store and the yards.
A report on how entries were judged will be provided to all shortlisted stores visited in each category.
Other information about the visits can be found in the Terms & Conditions of Entry.
